Dr. Joel N. Myers As Founder and President of AccuWeather, Inc. and AccuWeather.com, Dr. Joel N. Myers is credited with transforming weather into an industry. Since 1962, Dr. Myers has been a key force behind the growth of what has become the world's leading multimedia weather information source, dedicated to saving lives, protecting property, and helping people prosper. Dr. Myers received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in meteorology from The Pennsylvania State University, and continues his lifelong interest in education as a Pennsylvania State University Trustee, a position which he has held since 1981. He has been elected or ten three year terms. Dr. Myers has won numerous awards and recognitions and has testified before Congress on multiple occasions. He has authored more than 75 articles and papers, has appeared on hundreds of television shows including the ABC Nightly News, and Larry King Live, and has been quoted in more than 500 magazines and newspapers. The New York Times called him "the most reliable man in the forecasting business." Dr. Myers was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine's Encyclopedia of Entrepreneurs as one of the 528 greatest entrepreneurs in American history, along with historical figures such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Walt Disney and contemporaries Bill Gates, Ted Turner and Donald Trump.
